Retirement Wealth Requires Action

In the first 3 installments I spoke about how important VISION, IDEA and PLAN were to achieving personally controllable, lasting retirement wealth.

If you read the segment on planning, I mentioned that one reason not to get too detailed in the plan is that many people would use it as a way to NOT take the next step - to take ACTION.

You can have all the vision you want, you can have all the ideas you want (...the world is full of people with ideas...) and you can create all the plans you want from basic to complex, but until you take ACTION, you are going precisely no where.

Folks, this is a big deal and I believe one of the principle reasons people fail to achieve retirement wealth and success.

I can give you the keys to the car, you can even start it and put it in gear. But, until you press on the gas and start to move forward steering it down the road, you won't go anywhere.

Action is key to arriving at your retirement wealth lifestyle.

What kind of action do you need? Is there more than one kind? Yes.

Sitting down in front of your computer one Saturday morning, turning it on, stretching your hands and fingers out and proclaiming "Today...I'm going to take ACTION..." isn't going to do it. Guaranteed.

You need to work on your plan and the tasks involved in achieving your vision of retirement wealth every day. Let me say that again. Every day you need to take some action to help you toward your goal.

Some days you will only be able to do one thing. Other days, like that Saturday morning, you will be able to devote a couple of hours of concentrated activity. But...you need to take action every day. You are nurturing your business along.

Taking action every day moves you slowly, inexorably closer to your goal. It is less threatening, it is less disruptive, it gives you time to think about what your steps should be, learning what works and what doesn't, what your prospects and customers want from you and what they don't and is exactly like that old Chinese proverb "The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." Achieving your dream retirement lifestyle begins with one step and you will need to take more steps every day.

In our next installment we'll actually have a surprise ending. It is the last element you need and perhaps the biggest one, because sooo many people don't do this - which is why so many people fail to achieve their retirement wealth lifestyle.

'See you then.
