Why Not Opt For Variety Loaded With Beauty

The video games that have been created till now are rocking this world all over. Trying to list all of the different types of video games would surely take too long as there are more created every day. There are games available for the kids, for teenagers and for adults. Everyone can find a game based on their age as well as their interests or even skill.

As stated before, there are too many types of games to list them all, but we will list just a few, such as racing games, fighting games, creative games, mind games and many more. The games that we can name in the fighting or war games section are Unreal Tournament 2004, Doom, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Civilization, Rise of Nations, Madden 2004, Dead or Alive 3, Final Fantasy XII etc.

Most of these games have 3D characters where the images look life-like and give the player utmost satisfaction while playing and fighting with their competitors. Some of these games have celebrated long years of success and are therefore very popular with their next series as well.

In the segment of the racing games we can name Project Gotham Racing II, Bill Eliots NASCAR Challenge, Action Super Cross, Auto Bahn, 1nsane, Rally Cross, Slicks N Slide, Death Rally, etc. These are just a few names and there is a long list which can be downloaded very easily from the internet. Certain other games like football, cricket, baseball, basketball, volleyball etc. are also very popular.

Among the kids, certain types of computer games are most popular. These are basically shooting games. In these types of games, the player will have to aim and shoot at the target which can be a bird, a duck, a fallen leaf, an animal etc. A click on the target can kill it very easily and in certain games there is a gun through which the child can improve his shooting capabilities.

Another type of video game that can be played without loading in the computer is the mobile game. These can be played anywhere by anyone and therefore are very popular too. This huge variety of computer games is sold at various price ranges - some of which can be very costly.

Playstation games are the top ranking games till now, and there are always new versions coming out throughout the year. Most of these games are popular with kids as well as young adults. These games are not exactly cheap, but it is very clear that the demand for them will never decrease.

"Too Human" Review - Xbox 360

Too Human could very well be the poster child for the negative effects of over-hyping a video game. Too often we gamers and the people who supply us with information become so obsessed with the possibilities a game represents that we lose sight of reality. An exciting and eagerly awaited game is built up to impossibly high standards that only a few games in a hundred manage to meet. We want so badly for a game to be everything we hoped that we lose sight of what it is, which in this case is a very decent title with its share of issues; nothing more, nothing less.

The unusually long game development time for Too Human has created its share of difficulties concerning both the over-hyping of the title as well as the core of the game itself. Originally scheduled for release on the original Playstation, the title found its way to the GameCube following a partnership between Silicon Knights and Nintendo, and finally ended its long journey on Microsoft's Xbox 360. The time allotted to the development of an average game is typically more than enough to allow for the over-hyping of said game, but in this case I believe the incredibly long development time as well as the multiple platform changes for the title attributed to this game's hyper-hyping. The game simply sat too long in the imaginations of gamers worldwide.

I personally cannot blame those who wanted this title to be great; the game has some really interesting concepts. The dual-analog melee combat has incredible potential for those willing to take time to learn its particulars. Once well-equipped and versed in the particulars of the game's combat system, a player can truly begin to feel godly while facing his foes. Though at first unsure of the depth of combat I found in the game's opening, this gamer was soon sliding gracefully from enemy to enemy swords-a-blur. Few things about this title are as satisfying as wading confidently into a group of twenty enemies and emerging practically untouched with some cool new items to check out.

The game offers some reasonably fun character progression featuring a wealth of class and spec combinations which lead to many different play styles. The loot drops are frequent and satisfying, and despite the fact that you will pick up some items that you cannot use on your character, they can always be traded to a friend for something you want in the game's online co-op multiplayer. Furthermore, you are given the option of breaking down items that you do not need anywhere in the game into hard currency which you will then use to buy or craft new items. The gear is really quite satisfying to collect and craft, and this is one of the game's strong points.

The game is, of course, not without its problems. As earlier stated, the game was originally planned for development on the Playstation, and in some ways it shows. The character models are somewhat blocky-looking (especially the faces), and some of the game's environments are somewhat bland. The story attempts an interesting mixture of futuristic technology (including cybernetics), and Norse mythology. While this may sound cool to some, the theme seems somewhat forced. While the story itself is thankfully fairly simple, some of the ideas and statements made me cringe, such as AI-controlled human allies saying things like "where in the Helheim are we?" The game is also sadly somewhat short, but despite playing through the main story twice in my four days with the game, I was eager to play again.

There are a few other small compliments and gripes which could be bestowed upon this title, but I think we all get the picture: What we have here is a fun game that is more than adequate entertainment. It has issues, yes, but what game doesn't? My recommendation is to give this game a fair shake. Even the most remote areas of the country have access to game rentals these days, so you need not invest a full $60 just to find out if the game suits you. Who knows? You may really enjoy it.

My score: 7.5/10

My 5 Favorite PSP Games

My 5 Favorite PSP Games

Everyone who's ever played PSP games is passionate about their favorite games. You can tell that just by looking at all the "top 10" lists online.

I don't have enough room for a top 10...but I will share with you my personal selection for the best 5 PSP Games. These are not in any particular order, other than they all make the top of my list.

* God of War: Chains of Olympus. As most reviewers have reported, this game almost single-handedly revives and reinvents the 3-D action genre. It features unparalleled presentation and tightly-wound combat. I believe this is the best-looking game created for any hand-held game console.

* Lumines II. I was always a huge Tetris fanatic, which explains why I like this game so much--reminiscent of that classic game. In this one, colored blacks descend from the screen top and you must clear them out by forming various like-colored combinations. It features gorgeous special effects and a great musical soundtrack.

* Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Yes, the GTA franchise makes its appearance on the PSP. The game allows you to build your crime syndicate while watching over your lovely ladies. While it has some flaws, this game provides a great visceral experience.

* Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. This outstanding entry features gorgeous graphics and unbelievable real-tie battles. It's also a plus that it features cameos by popular characters from Final Fantasy VII.

* Killzone: Liberation. This is a game which totally unshackles the PS2 first-firston shooter experience for the handheld players. Unlike other shooters, it features top-down play, but once you get used to it, it's a blast.

I'm sure that if you try any one of these games, you'll consider it money well-spent.

Warcraft Riches by Derek Beachler Review

If you have been doing any searches on the internet for World of Warcraft Gold Guides, I'd be willing to bet you have heard of Warcraft Riches by Derek Beachler before. Warcraft Riches is one the hottest guides on the market, and it has been for a while now.

Warcraft Riches covers all of the correct strategies and concepts that are the most efficient for getting you out there and making tons of WoW Gold. I really enjoyed the way Derek Beachler had set up Warcraft Riches. It is in PDF format, like most of the World of Warcraft Gold Guides, but it has a separate PDF for every single section. When you have as much information as is needed for one of these guides, organization becomes very important.

A couple of pretty cool bonuses are included in Warcraft Riches as well. The Bonus Fishing Guide is actually one of the best sections of the whole guide. This is because there were actually many diagrams and maps included, which always helps a lot. The other bonus is a Profession Leveling Guide, which you could honestly do without.

The main thing that I felt was a let down about the guide is that it was not very detailed. It was packed full of information and had all the right concepts, but they were not explained as thorough as they truly need to be. There was also a heavy emphasis on grinding. I know a lot of people spend a heck of a lot of time grinding, but I hate to waste my time doing that. It is good to occasionally go out and just kill stuff, but it never lasts long for me. I prefer going to the Auction House and actually using my brain and doing something that believe it or not, takes a little skill to do good at. Not saying I am great at the Auction House, but after using the techniques I learned from all the guides I read, I got pretty darn good and can make a quick profit whenever I feel like it.

Overall, Warcraft Riches just doesn't have what it takes to be number one. I loved that all the right concepts were there, but I was just disappointed that the details were not there to get you out and making tons of gold quick. The emphasis on grinding was also a definite negative aspect also. It is in no way a bad World of Warcraft Gold Guide; with a little bit more knowledge you can figure out the methods that are mentioned by Warcraft Riches, but who wants to spend money on something that gets them halfway there?

AP - A world weary of eight years of George W. Bush was riveted Tuesday by the drama unfolding in the United States. Many were inspired by Barack Obama's focus on hope, or simply relieved that - whoever wins - the current administration is coming to an end.
